Ivy Taylor’s life in her quaint, costal New England town is peaceful and quiet. Until it isn’t.
When Ivy’s bookstore is struck during a surprising spree of vandalism with her inside, she calls the first person that comes to mind, Tripp Forester. Or, Sheriff Tripp Forester, her long-time crush as well as her brother’s best friend, to put it more accurately. Ivy must face a very real, present threat along with her past doubts, and Tripp is fast to be fiercely protective of her.
Tripp Forester has been sheriff for less than a year, and he’s the youngest in county history. With rampant vandalism suddenly taking place leading up to the fall festival, he’s determined to solve things perfectly by the book. That is until the one girl he’s always cared for, the one girl that’s off limits, is targeted next. And he’s having an impossible time keeping her safe when she’s decided to prove her own bravery. Ivy doesn’t need to prove anything to him though, and Tripp is willing to overlook the rules to keep her by his side. When finding the person terrorizing their town leads to blurred lines, they must decide what to do with the feelings they realize along the way.
